Day 1

Fly Australia to Chicago via Vancouver & Toronto. Arrive in Chicago and own arrangements for transfer to the hotel for a 2 night stay.

Day 2

Chicago. A full day at leisure to explore your choice of Chicago’s must-see attractions at your own pace. This evening join your fellow travellers for a welcome dinner and some soulful sounds at a legendary jazz club

Day 3

Chicago – Springfield – St. Louis. Depart Chicago and cruise through endless fields of corn enroute to Springfield, hometown of Abraham Lincoln. Continue to St. Louis, gateway to the West. Transfer to hotel for overnight stay. (B)

Day 4

St Louis – Nashville. This morning it’s on to Southern hospitality in Music City – Nashville for a 2 night stay. This evening enjoy an optional show at the Grand Ole Opry, the home of American music. (B)

Day 5

Nashville. A full day at leisure to explore Nashville’s must see attractions. (B)

Day 6

Nashville – Memphis. Today’s destination is the Birthplace of Rock n Roll and the starting point of soul and blues – Memphis. Tour Beale Street for an authentic look at Memphis and its music before visiting the private world of Elvis Presley at Graceland Mansion. (B)

Day 7

Memphis. Time spent at leisure to explore Memphis at your own pace. This afternoon board the grandest riverboat afloat, the American Queen. Experience authentic Southern culture as the boat journeys through living history along the Lower Mississippi. (B,D)

Day 8

Greenville. Visit Greenville which is at the very heart and soul of the Mississippi and the birthplace of B.B King and many other blues singers. (B,D)

Day 9

Vicksburg. Vicksburg perfectly blends Southern culture and heritage with the modern day. Abraham Lincoln described Vicksburg as the “Key to the South” with the town carrying a history unlike any other Civil War city. (B,D)

Day 10

Natchez. The oldest city on the Mississippi, Natchez is a charming river town known for its elegance, hospitality and impressive preservation of history which can be found on every street corner throughout the city. (B,D)

Day 11

St. Francisville. The historical town of St Francisville has much to offer with its many unique shops, beautiful churches, breathtaking parks and historical homes. (B,D)

Day 12

Baton Rouge. Enjoy an exciting day visiting all that Baton Rouge has to offer from museums and architecture to shops and creole cuisine. (B,D) 

Day 13

 Nottoway. Experience living history with a visit to the largest antebellum mansion of the Deep South, the Nottoway Plantation. (B,D) 

Day 14

  New Orleans. Disembark the ship in New Orleans – as one of the world’s most fascinating cities and the birthplace of jazz, New Orleans is alive with tradition and home to a truly unique melting pot of culture, food and music. (B)

Day 15

New Orleans – Vancouver – Australia. Check out of the hotel and own arrangements for transfer to the airport for the flight to Australia, via Toronto and Vancouver.
